EJ Lavery is an award-winning narrator and one of AudioFile Magazine’s Voices to Know. She regularly records with top publishers like Penguin Random House, Harper Audio, and Tantor Media . As a classically trained actor, she studied the Stanislavski method at the University of Michigan and honed her craft over fifteen years in theater, podcasts, and audiobook narration. Her diverse vocal range empowers her to voice everything from middle grade boy characters to romantic ingenues to thrillers etc. At times, she also brings her rich, blended Mexican and Irish heritage to the characters that she voices.
Complementing her creative pursuits, she holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, and her research scholarship at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine underscores her dedication to learning and exploration. EJ harnesses her deep-seated passion for storytelling to explore and embody a dynamic tapestry of characters and narratives. Whether delving into the folklore of her ancestors or unraveling the complexities of historical events like the Salem witch trials, she brings authenticity and vibrant life to every role. EJ’s ability to connect with a wide range of stories and characters is matched by her versatility and distinctive character voices.
